Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives of Iraq

On 25 June, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Adnan Fayhan Al-Dulaimi, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States (PUIC), held in Baku.

The meeting highlighted the importance of cooperation between legislative bodies of counitries bilaterally and within international organisations. In this regard, it was noted that the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, constitutes an important platform.

The efforts undertaken within the NAM PN to strengthen its institutional framework and to enhance its international standing were positively assessed, underscoring the Network’s growing contribution to parliamentary diplomacy and multilateral engagement.
