Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran

On 14 October, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network and Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Chairman of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran discussed the ongoing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties within NAM PN.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the successful collaboration between both countries in various international parliamentary organizations, including NAM PN, and expressed her commitment to further enhancing cooperation through this platform.

They also discussed the upcoming Parliamentary Conference to be held in Baku in conjunction with COP29, which will play a crucial role in addressing climate change issues through parliamentary dialogue.

This meeting further reinforced the importance of NAM PN as a platform for expanding inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation on global challenges such as climate change.
