Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, addressed the Opening Ceremony of the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of Parliament of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Türkiye

On 13 October, during the opening ceremony of the Third Trilateral Meeting of the Speakers of Parliament of Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Türkiye held in Islamabad, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova drew attention to cooperation within international parliamentary organizations, with particular emphasis on the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

She highlighted the importance of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, which was established at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev. Ms. Gafarova noted that the Network has become an important and effective platform for strengthening parliamentary dialogue, expanding cooperation among member parliaments, and promoting solidarity based on international law, justice, and fairness.

In this context, she expressed appreciation for the active participation of the National Assembly and the Senate of Pakistan as members of the Network, as well as for the support provided by the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye as a special guest. Ms. Gafarova underlined that this cooperation within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network makes a meaningful contribution to advancing parliamentary diplomacy and reinforcing joint efforts in support of peace, security, and development at the international level.
