Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain

On 25 January, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Ahmed bin Salman Al-Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of her official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain and participation in the 16th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, held in Manama.

During the meeting, cooperation within international and regional organizations was highlighted, with particular emphasis on the NAM PN. Appreciation was expressed for the successful cooperation within this framework and for the mutual support demonstrated.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova underlined that cooperation within the NAM PN constitutes an important element of parliamentary diplomacy and contributes to strengthening dialogue, solidarity, and coordinated positions among member states. Satisfaction was expressed with the close and constructive interaction maintained within the Network.

The meeting also reflected confidence that cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network would continue to develop further, serving shared interests and reinforcing parliamentary engagement on issues of common concern.
