Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Brahim Boughali, Speaker of the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of Algeria

On 16 April, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Brahim Boughali, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria within the framework of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) held in Istanbul.

During the meeting the views were expressed on further developing relations within the framework of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at the initiative of the President of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

It was emphasized thah the NAM PN has achieved significant success in institutional development and strengthening its international standing under the chairmanship of the Milli Majlis. It was also noted that the Parliamentary Network has become an important platform both for discussing a number of significant international issues and for further expanding cooperation between parliaments.
