Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

On 05 April, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP). During the meeting, it was emphasised that ICAPP serves as an important platform promoting peace, security, and cooperation in the Asian region. The significance of multilateral cooperation and collaboration within international organisations was also highlighted.

Ms. Gafarova provided detailed information about the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network and discussed Azerbaijan's efforts in institutionalising the Network. It was noted that the Network has become a significant platform for international cooperation.

The cooperation between the ICAPP and the Parliamentary Network was acknowledged with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. Currently, ICAPP holds observer status in the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. Mr. Chung Eui-yong praised the development of the Network under Azerbaijan's leadership.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
