Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Marzuq Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait

On July 1, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Marzuq Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait, visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the organization's Baku Conference.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova expressed her satisfaction in welcoming the guest to our country and thanked him for participating in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

At the meeting, Chairperson spoke of the importance of the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. She noted the relevance of the issues discussed at the conference. Highlighting the speech made by H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the opening ceremony of the Baku Conference, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova emphasized that the issues raised by the head of the state were of global importance.

Mr. Marzuq Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and sincere conversation. He expressed his satisfaction with the participation in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. He appreciated the initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan during the chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement. Expressing his belief in the progress of the movement's Parliamentary Network, the guest wished success to the work of the Baku Conference.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait expressed his views on the development of inter-parliamentary relations and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on other issues of interest to the parties.
