Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Mohsen Ali Akbar Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq

On February 22, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Mohsen Ali Akbar Al-Mandalawi, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Republic of Iraq, during his visit to Azerbaijan in the framework of the 14th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

The importance of cooperation between legislative bodies within the framework of various formats was discussed. It was underlined that the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network is an important interparliamentary platform for strengthening both bilateral and multilateral ties between member parliaments.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
