Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On 20 February, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with a parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

As the discussion continued, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova brought attention to the work of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. She outlined the efforts made during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship to ensure the Network’s institutional growth and sustainability.

The importance of the NAM PN as a platform for cooperation among member states was emphasized. Under Azerbaijan’s leadership, the Network has made significant strides in strengthening parliamentary diplomacy and promoting peace, justice, and international solidarity.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova noted that NAM PN continues to serve as an important tool for addressing global challenges, enhancing dialogue between nations, and advocating for the rights of sovereign countries.
