Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Tariq Humaid Mattar Muhammad Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates

On 21 February, the discussion highlighted the strong and fruitful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates within various international parliamentary organizations, with a particular focus on the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

Speaker Ms. Sahiba Gafarova took the opportunity to commend the UAE Parliament's active and dedicated involvement in the activities of the Network, emphasizing its valuable contributions to promoting the principles of the Non-Aligned Movement on a global scale.

She also underscored Azerbaijan's significant role in advancing the institutional development of the NAM PN, noting that the country has been a key player in strengthening the Network's mechanisms and fostering collaboration among member states. This ongoing partnership is a testament to the shared commitment of both nations to uphold the values of peace, sovereignty, and mutual respect in the international arena.
