Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Khuon Sudary, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Cambodia

On 17 September, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Khuon Sudary, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Cambodia, within the framework of participation in the 46th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

During the meeting, cooperation within international parliamentary organizations was discussed, with particular attention given to the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. Ms. Sahiba Gafarova expressed satisfaction with the active participation of the Cambodian Parliament in the NAM PN, emphasizing the Network’s role as an important platform for parliamentary dialogue, solidarity, and cooperation among member states.

In turn, Chairwoman of the National Assembly of Cambodia highly appreciated the work carried out during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement, as well as the activities and growing institutional role of the NAM PN.

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of continued engagement and cooperation within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.
