Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Natalya Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and Mr. Agegnehu Teshager, Speaker of the House of Federation of Ethiopia in the course of her working visit to St. Petersburg, Russian Federation.

On 12 July, during her working visit to St. Petersburg, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, discussed the activities of the NAM PN with both Ms. Natalya Kochanova, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, and Mr. Agegnehu Teshager, Speaker of the House of Federation of Ethiopia.

In her meetings, Ms. Gafarova highlighted Azerbaijan's leadership in NAM PN and emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation within the Network. She also discussed Ethiopia and Belarus’s contributions to NAM PN and stressed the value of close ties between national delegations within the organization.

Additionally, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova informed her colleagues about the Parliamentary Conference to be held by the Milli Majlis in collaboration with the Inter-Parliamentary Union during the COP29 in Baku.
