Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Saara Kuugongelwa, Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia

On 20 October, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Saara Kuugongelwa, Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia, on the sidelines of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Geneva.

During the meeting, particular attention was paid to cooperation within international parliamentary organizations. In this context, the activities of the NAM PN were highly commended. It was noted that the Network, established at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E Mr. Ilham Aliyev, plays an increasingly important role in advancing parliamentary dialogue and cooperation.

The efforts undertaken within the NAM PN to strengthen its institutional framework and to enhance its international standing were positively assessed, underscoring the Network’s growing contribution to parliamentary diplomacy and multilateral engagement.
