Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with the ICAPP delegation

On 16 October, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with a delegation led by Mr. Chung Eui-yong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP), visiting Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further developing cooperation between ICAPP and the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, which was established at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev and currently chaired by the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan. It was noted that interaction between the two platforms creates additional opportunities for strengthening dialogue, promoting multilateral cooperation, and advancing shared values at the international level.

The discussion also focused on expanding cooperation in the Asian region and deepening mutual understanding through parliamentary and political dialogue. The sides emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts aimed at reinforcing solidarity, enhancing cooperation among participating countries, and contributing to peace and stability through multilateral parliamentary engagement.
