Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, met with Mr. Saghr Gobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Saghr Gobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates on October 6, within the framework of her participation in the 8th G20 Parliamentary Speakers' Summit, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova expressed her views on cooperation within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network established at the initiative of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Chairperson highly appreciated the participation of the representative of the United Arab Emirates in the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network held in Baku earlier this year and provided information about the results of the conference.

Mr. Sakr Gobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, expressed his satisfaction regarding the held meeting, and said that the United Arab Emirates is interested in expanding relations with the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network and stood ready to provide all kinds of support to the organization. He expressed that the representatives of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates who participated at the first conference of the Parliamentary Network held in Baku returned with very positive impressions.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on other topics of mutual interest.
