Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar

On 25 June, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States.

It was emphasised that the Parliament of Qatar is closely involved in the work of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

During the meeting, the activities of the NAM PN were highly appreciated. It was noted that the Network has become an important platform for strengthening parliamentary dialogue and cooperation among participating states.

The positive assessment focused in particular on the role of the NAM PN in enhancing multilateral engagement, as well as on its growing institutional capacity and international visibility.
