Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Mazen Turki Al-Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

On 22 June, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met Mr. Mazen Turki Al-Qadi, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, who was on an official visit to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting it was stated that cooperation and mutual support between the two countries within the UN, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and other organisations were also a source of satisfaction.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova expressed satisfaction with the close involvement of the Parliament of Jordan in the work of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The meeting underscored the role of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network as an important platform for strengthening parliamentary dialogue, cooperation, and solidarity among member states.
