Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Tariq Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates

On 22 June, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Tariq Al Tayer, First Deputy Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Member States.

During the meeting it was emphasised that parliaments maintain active cooperation within the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement, established at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as well as within such organisations as the APA and the PUIC.

The meeting also reflected confidence that cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network would continue to develop further, serving shared interests and reinforcing parliamentary engagement on issues of common concern.
