Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Thun Vathana, Vice President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia

On 13 June, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Thun Vathana, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and Vice President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, who was visiting Azerbaijan.

During the conversation, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova emphasised the importance of cooperation within international parliamentary organisations, particularly the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova highlighted the importance of the NAM PN as an inclusive platform that brings together parliaments from different regions and contributes to strengthening dialogue, solidarity, and coordinated parliamentary action. She underlined that cooperation within the NAM PN creates additional opportunities for enhancing multilateral parliamentary interaction and advancing shared interests.
