Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with the President of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly

As part of her working visit to the United States, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met in New York with Mr. Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81^st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The Speaker of the Milli Majlis congratulated her counterpart on assuming office and wished him success.

Ms. Sahiba Gafarova briefed the President of the 81^st Session of the UN General Assembly on the activities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network.

During the conversation, the sides exchanged views on developing relations between the United Nations and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

The meeting also included an exchange of views on other matters.
