The participants of the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network visited the city of Shusha of the Republic of Azerbaijan

On July 2, the participants of the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network visited Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan. The delegations were accompanied by Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, and other officials.
The participants of the Baku Conference arrived at the Fuzuli International Airport as part of their visit to the city of Shusha. The delegations were informed about the technical capabilities of the Fuzuli International Airport, called the "Air Gate" of Karabakh, which was built and put into use in a short time by the order of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Later on, the delegations left Fuzuli for the city of Shusha. During the travel to Shusha, the participants of the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network could witness the restoration and construction works being carried out in the liberated territories.
In Shusha, parliamentary delegations visited the city's Castle walls, City Square and Jidir Duzu plain. They were informed about the history of the city, destruction and vandalism acts during the occupation, and the construction and rebuilding works currently being carried out in Shusha. Detailed information about restored historical monuments and new buildings to be constructed in the city was introduced to the visitors. While walking in the city of Shusha, the delegations witnessed the damage caused to the historical and cultural monuments of Azerbaijan during the Armenian occupation.
