On May 16, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Duarte Pacheco, President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, during his visit to Azerbaijan in the framework of the Special Session of the Milli Majlis dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

On May 14, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al Asoomi, President of the Arab Parliament, within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan.

The Non-Aligned Movement’s Parliamentary Network application for observer status at the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States (TÜRKPA) was endorsed at the 12th Plenary Session of the TÜRKPA held in Ankara.

The Second Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network took place in Manama, the Kingdom of Bahrain, with more than 300 participants from around 60 delegations, including Speakers and Deputy Speakers of their respective national parliaments, as well as 8 inter-parliamentary organizations.

On March 13, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Ali Bin Saleh Al-Saleh, Chairperson of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Bahrain, within the framework of the visit to Bahrain.

On March 12, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, delivered a speech at the 146th IPU Assembly held in Manama, Bahrain.
