It is my great pleasure to greet each of you.
I would like to announce that this newly launched website is a valuable database containing extensive information on the activities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network. The website will present comprehensive information on the history of the establishment of the parliamentary dimension of the world's second largest organization after the UN, in particular, its founding meeting and the first conference held in Baku, its role in international cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy, the topics on our agenda, our priorities and many other issues.

On 27 January, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network delivered a speech at the 2nd Session of the Women Parliamentary Forum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean on the theme “Empowering Women for Cohesive and Inclusive Societies: From the Gulf to the Mediterranean”, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On 26 January, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network delivered a speech at the 16th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain.

On 27 January, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Mr. Giulio Centemero, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, within the framework of participation in the Second Session of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum, held in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network
June 30 - July 1, 2022- Baku, Azerbaijan
On June 30 – July 1, 2022, the Republic of Azerbaijan hosted the Baku Conference of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network (NAM PN) dedicated to the theme of “Boosting the role of national parliaments in promoting global peace and sustainable development”.
The Baku Conference was attended by parliamentarians from more than 40 NAM Member States, including Speakers and Deputy Speakers of their respective national parliaments, as well as 8 interparliamentary organizations.

Inaugural Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network
November 28, 2021- Madrid, Spain
On the initiative of H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and incumbent Chair of the Non-Aligned Movement, on the sidelines of the 143rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network (NAM PN) was established during its Inaugural Meeting on November 28, 2021, in Madrid, Spain. The official meeting was followed by a Gala Dinner dedicated to the Inauguration of the NAM PN hosted by the Azerbaijani delegation.
