On 20 February, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with a parliamentary delegation led by Mr. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, Chairman of the Senate of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who was visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 15th Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

On 19 February, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, met with Ms. Tanzila Narbayeva, Speaker of the Senate of Uzbekistan. The mutually beneficial inter-parliamentary cooperation within the NAM PN was discussed during the meeting.

On 18 February, during the bilateral meeting of the Speakers the Asian Parliamentary Assembly was recognized as a crucial parliamentary platform uniting the legislatures of Asia. Ms. Gafarova emphasized the importance of the upcoming plenary session in Baku, noting that key regional and global issues would be discussed. She highlighted the significance of such events in strengthening dialogue and expanding bilateral relations between participating countries.

On 17 February, on the occasion of the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly, both speakers expressed confidence that the plenary session would be productive and would address crucial issues, reinforcing the APA’s role as a key platform for parliamentary diplomacy that unites legislative bodies across Asia. The importance of these platforms in promoting dialogue and cooperation among member states was also highlighted.

On 19 November, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, discussed about the Parliamentary Meeting held on 16-17 November, organized jointly by the Milli Majlis and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, where parliamentarians from various countries gathered to discuss climate change. She underscored the significant role of parliaments in global climate policy and shared the final document of the meeting, which reflected a unified position on the issue.

On 18 November, Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairperson of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, emphasized that NAM PN serves as an essential forum for addressing global challenges, with particular attention to the needs of developing and small island states. She stressed that NAM PN's role in promoting dialogue and cooperation between countries from diverse regions is vital for achieving collective solutions to the challenges posed by climate change, which was a central topic during the COP29 discussions.
